I recently began an interior design project for married couple, Christina + Jason. They approached me because they were experiencing the issue that most newlyweds do: merging homes.
No worries, TBR came to the rescue.
I met with the couple to do a walkthrough of their new condo, and get a feel for BOTH of their design styles. Jason was all modern, and Christina was modern with a touch of glam. The couple found a good deal on a couch, loveseat + side chair, and were not willing to part with them. They weren’t too particular about anything else, however, Jason informed me that he recently ordered a 65″ TV that Christina knew nothing about. That meant they needed a new TV stand to accommodate the massive addition. They already had their accent wall painted turquoise and wanted to incorporate a few orange and blue jars that they acquired as wedding gifts. We decided on an orange, blue + grey color scheme.
Here were my suggestions for the living room:
The 3-panel artwork will be placed behind the couch, but we are also considering a large mirror instead, which will help open up the space. The TV stand just came in + it looks great! The 2-tray coffee table w/ the bottom shelf is perfect for placing books + other trinkets in the living room.
Here were my ideas for the dining room:
I’m in love with the artwork and love how it perfectly blends with the orange + blue color scheme. The pendant light, dining room table and acrylic chairs add a touch of modern + glam without being too feminine. All modern, yet affordable items.
I’ll be posting the finished look on the blog!
